It was a sad, sad week for Droim Ratha with the sudden passing of one of our most faithful members, Cathal McLaughlin. The huge numbers at his wake and funeral bore testament to his popularity. Cathal’s memory shall live forever within our membership and our deepest sympathies lie with Geraldine, Barry, Sinead, Claire and the McLaughlin, Loughran, and Burke families. Gratitude is extended to every member who assisted with the arrangements at the wake and the lovely Funeral Mass. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam. U8 and U10 training continues on Wednesday at Clanabogan from 7pm to 8pm. This will be the final Wednesday night session. The Drumragh ‘Astro Gaelic’ programme will commence on Saturday October 29 at Omagh Leisure Centre. It will run from 11am to 12noon each Saturday for five weeks. This is open to U8 and U10 age groups. The cost per child is £2. Ask your coach for details. The Gaelic Start winter programme will begin on Saturday November 5 and run from 10.30am to 11.30am. The programme will run for seven weeks. Existing members and anyone with children in P1, P2 or P3, boys or girls, are welcome. It is an exciting programme aimed at improving the child’s skills through fun games and activities which parents and children will all enjoy. Gaelic4Mothers training has now stopped for the season. Thanks to everyone for their efforts and especially our coaches James and Gary. Club ties are to be returned to Eamonn McCann (07909685736). Next week’s jackpot will be £3,200 and the draw will be held in Sally’s.

The pre-planned trip for the girls has been cancelled and will be rearranged.
