Drumragh U14 boys and management before their game against Castlederg on Saturday

Castlederg………………..4-7

Drumragh……………….16-7

Drumragh U14 boys produced another excellent display to beat Castlederg in the league on Saturday morning.

This victory made it three wins from three for the side and much like their previous outings against Omagh and Strabane, it was a terrific team performance.

Full-forward Fionn Collins opened the scoring with a goal after a good team move involving Oisin Kerlin, Conor Barrett and Oran Barrett.

Castlederg hit 1-2 without answer to go in front. And they could have stretched that lead out only for some important turnovers by Conor Gormley, Carraig McKenna and Rory Dolan in the Drumragh defence. Goalkeeper Sean O’Doherty also pulled off a good save during this time.

But a goal from Niall Maguire gave Drumragh back the lead, one which they would never lose.

Further goals from Conor Barrett (3), Fionn Collins and Niall Maguire and a point from Ryan Montgomery put Drumragh into a really commanding position at half-time.

There was no let up in the second half. Oran Barrett set up Conor Barrett for a goal and a good exchange of passes between Conor and Niall Maguire allowed Niall to score another goal.

Fionn Collins scored two goals while Conor Barrett kicked over two points following good play from Fionn, Frankie Monk and Ryan Montgomery.

At the other end of the pitch, a fantastic tackle from Ryan Baxter denied Castlederg a goal while Ronan Bresnahan and Turlough Collins were having strong games.

The Castlederg goalkeeper made a number of great saves in the second half from Conor Barrett, Dara Cox and one from a wonderful long-range effort from Matthew O’Doherty that would have been score of the game had it gone in.

Oisin Kerlin, Ryan Montgomery and Fionn Collins put over a good point each while Kristian Devine (2), Conor Barrett and Oisin all goaled before the end to cap off a brilliant team performance.
