Club notes – March 16
Club notes – March 16

• It was with extreme sadness that Droim Ratha Na Sarseil learnt of the sudden passing of one of our proudest members Paddy Gallagher last week. Paddy played his underage GAA with Tattyreagh, and as a student at St Patrick’s High School he represented club, college and county. In 1974, he was part of the Tyrone minor team that won the Ulster Minor League, and Tyrone Vocationals who lost to Wicklow in the All-Ireland vocationals final. Playing midfield for Drumragh, he competed in the 1977 All-County U21 final, and achieved senior league success in Division 4 in 1976, in Division 3 in 1983. Also that year Paddy proudly represented Tyrone, playing for the Juniors who won the Ulster Junior Championship, and were runners-up in the All-Ireland Final. Paddy Gallagher served Drumragh Sarsfields as a player, a coach, a chairman and current county committee representative. He was proud, passionate in every single thing he turned his gifted hand to. But most of all he shall be remembered as a solid friend; a husband to Patricia, and a father to Maeve, Aine and Cathal. We also remember Paddy’s mother Kathleen, brothers and sisters in our prayers. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.
