Drumragh senior men win again

Alex McGlinchey scored Drumragh’s third goal against Derrytresk


Goals from Shane Devine, Paddy Colgan and Alex McGlinchey helped Drumragh to a win over Derrytresk on Saturday.

The teams went score-for-score during the first quarter of the game. A good pass inside from Kevin Marron allowed Benny Drumm to point, Kevin himself was also on target while Shane Devine hit a fantastic score from play.

Drumragh finished the half strong to build up a five-point lead at the break. Shane Devine got in for the first goal of the game following good play from Eamonn McCann and Gareth McGrath. Shane then converted a free following a foul on Martin Taggart, who also added a point.

Shane Devine scored again and a 45 by goalkeeper James Colgan ended the first-half scoring.

Drumragh took control of the game not long into the second goal with their second and third goal.

First, a brilliant team move involving Benny Drumm, Eamonn McCann and Sean McGale ended with Paddy Colgan finishing to the back of the net. Paddy then turned provider, setting up Alex McGlinchey for his first ever goal in a Drumragh senior jersey.

The Drumragh defence restricted Derrytresk to a couple of points in the second half and further scores from Shane Devine (2), Sean McGale, James Colgan and Benny Drumm were enough for Drumragh’s ninth win of the year.
