Drumragh senior men beat Killyman in the league on Friday

Drumragh senior men recorded a big win over Killyman at Clanabogan Park on Friday evening.

It was an impressive performance from Drumragh who defended strongly all game and then went on and kicked some brilliant scores throughout the hour. All of Drumragh’s total came from play.

Tommy Murphy gave Drumragh the lead with a couple of points in the first minute and there was no let up from Drumragh right until the final whistle.

Malachy McManus scored Drumragh’s opening goal in the second minute before Tommy Mullin, Malachy McManus, Eoin Montgomery (2) and Alex McGlinchey all added quality efforts from play.

Killyman got on the scoreboard with a free but Tommy Mullin answered back for Drumragh with Barry Kirwan and Paddy Colgan involved in the build-up.

Eoin Montgomery, Tommy Murphy and Barry Kirwan stretched out Drumragh’s lead and then Tommy Mullin got Drumragh’s second goal after Eoin and Malachy McManus had created the opportunity.

Aaron Montgomery added a fantastic point from distance, while Tommy Murphy and Eoin Montgomery were also on target.

Drumragh’s third goal came from Alex McGlinchey who found the back of the net after Tommy Murphy’s pass across the face of the goal. Killyman responded with a well-worked goal of their own but further scores from Micheal Mullin, Aaron Montgomery and Tommy Murphy had Drumragh in an excellent position at half-time.

Half-time substitute Andy Colgan got the scoring going in the second half and that was followed up by Johnny Browne and Tommy Mullin points.

Tommy Murphy got through for a goal and a turnover from Benny Drumm led to a good score from Malachy McManus.

Killyman went up the field and kicked a couple of good scores but Drumragh replied with three Tommy Mullin points on the bounce.

The fifth goal came along for Drumragh via Tommy Murphy. Further points from Tommy (2), Tommy Mullin and Malachy McManus completed a resounding win for Drumragh.
