The Drumragh Great Todds Leap Solo Run is finally upon us. Things get underway on Saturday with the first runner leaving Clanabogan at 9am. Everyone, including youth members running, is asked to meet at the pitch at 8.30am or at High Street in Omagh at 10am. Best of luck to all runners and everyone helping out. There will be an end of event party back at the Country Club on Sunday night to release any symptoms of post-solo fatigue syndrome. The reserves were narrowly beaten by Killeshil in the League at the weekend. The seniors play Dregish away in the League tonight (Thursday) at 7.15pm. There is no youth training this weekend as a result of The Great Solo Run. Well done to the U16s who had a great win over Eskra this week. They play Glenelly in the Championship tomorrow (Friday) at 7.15pm. The U8 blitz in Healy Park this weekend has been cancelled. Well done to the U10 player of the week Tom Donaghey. Congratulations also to Emma Donaghey, this week’s £10 youth draw winner. Good luck to the senior ladies who take on Donaghmore in the League semi-final tonight (Thursday). The Drumragh 10k run/5k fun run/walk takes place on Saturday September 24. You can now register online via www.niathletics.org or by downloading a form from the Drumragh website and posting it or by returning the form to any club office holder. A five-week pre-race training programme will continue on Tuesdays at Clanabogan at 6.45pm for runners of all levels led by fitness coach Ryan Cunningham. Gaelic4Mothers training continues tonight (Thursday) from 8pm to 9pm. The club will be hosting a regional Gaelic4Mothers blitz on Sunday September 4. Anyone free to help should contact Anne Donaghey on 07725258935. The national Gaelic4Mothers blitz is taking place on October 15. A £30 deposit must be paid to Mary McGurgan before next Thursday. There will be a quiz for Gaelic4Mothers in the next few weeks. Keep an eye on the notes for further details. This week’s winning Club Drumragh lotto letters were D I J K M. There was no jackpot winner but the five £10 winners were Mary McGlone, Fabian McGlone, Emma Kate McGlone, Anne Donaghey and Geraldine McCarney. Next week’s jackpot will be £2,800 and the draw will be held in The Coach Inn.
LADIES NOTES
Good luck to our senior ladies in League semi-final tonight (Thursday) away to Donaghmore. Throw-in at 7.30pm. Players to be at The Coach Inn no later than 6pm. All support would be greatly appreciated. The next U16 League game is on Tuesday at 7.30pm. Details to follow at training. There will be no youth training this Saturday due to The Great Solo Run. It will resume on Saturday September 3 from 10.30am to 11.30am.
