Drumragh Sarsfields GAC is proud to announce a new partnership with David Prentice Portadown in the form of the Drumragh Youth Academy.
Drumragh Sarsfields is based on the outskirts of Omagh and has a rapidly growing membership. The Club has developed its grounds at Clanabogan Park to provide state of the art clubrooms and two pitches, and has simultaneously cultivated strong links with the local community.
Drumragh has over 160 children participating in the Academy programme every Saturday morning; the activities comprise Gaelic Start for the 4 -7 year olds, Go Games for the children aged up to 12 years, and competitive games for those aged 13 -17 years.
Drumragh GAC’s Youth Academy facilitates the carefully managed transition of young people through the various levels of physical improvement and skills development. It is the primary aim of the club to develop a vibrant sporting ethos which nurtures the growth and development of its participants of all ages.
The Club’s Youth Officer, Fiachra Woods welcomed the new partnership arrangement saying “David Prentice has already been involved with Drumragh GFC for some 10 years. This latest sponsorship initiative will see David Prentice invest in the club’s Youth Academy and in the future of our youth players, both male and female. We would like to thank them for their continuing and extended investment and support of the club”
Adrian Pollock of the David Prentice organisation, also expressed his delight at its developing involvement with Drumragh Sarsfields commenting “Being a locally owned, family run business we are delighted to support this latest initiative with Drumragh. Many of our Team are from the local area. We are very excited to build on the excellent relationship we already enjoy with the club.”
