Our Minor Girls have made a fantastic start to their League with four wins, one loss and one draw. They are currently third in the table behind Cappagh & Owen Roes and are on course to qualify for the quarter finals.
The Girls played Cappagh on April 1st in their fourth game of the season. The Girls played well in the bad conditions but unfortunately didn’t come away with the result they wanted. The final score was 1-6 to 0-4.
They then beat Donaghmore on April 8th in their fifth league game. The Girls were in front from the start and kept a good lead for the entire game with several goals helping to seal the 3 points. The final score was 8-19 to 3-3.
The Girls had a great win over Moy last night in the league. The opposition proved to be a strong team however the girls battled through and came up with some fine points in the first half. A goal resulted from a 45 kicked by Eva McCaul which helped to settle the Girls. Our Defence was outstanding throughout with Cliona Beggan performing very well in goals. The final score was 1-9 to 0-2.
They now play Fintona on Monday 20th April and Owen Roes on the 22d April. As always, all support is greatly appreciated.
