Our Seniors & Reserves both suffered defeats to Clogher in their first league games of the season today. The final score was 2-11 to 0-9. Drumragh started well and went in two points ahead with a free from Kevin Marron and one from play by Shane Cleary. But Clogher responded and hit the next four points. Tommy Murphy hit two points, one from play and another one from a free, to answer further Clogher scores as the game remained tight during most of the first half.
Both Drumragh and Clogher lost players to straight red card’s before half time. Clogher were awared a free which then resulted in a penalty, which was scored, further increasing the gap.
Tommy added another free before half-time as did Clogher and they went in five points ahead at the break.
With an extra man Clogher were able to get enough men back in defence when Drumragh attacked and the Team had to work very hard for any score. Our second half points came from three frees from Tommy and a point from play from Kevin.
