We were delighted to host the Live to Play campaign at Clanabogan Park on Tuesday evening. The event helped to deliver the road safety message to all road users – drivers, passengers and pedestrians – all of whom must play their part in keeping us safe on our roads.
On the night we gained insight into the danger on our roads from both the PSNI Roads Policing Unit and the Fire & Rescue Service. We were able to experience first hand the response to a traffic collision with a simulated crash involving several young people.
During the night we also heard from a young lady who had been involved in a life changing road collision.
Many thanks to everyone who attended on the night and a special word of thanks to everyone who helped to organise or contributed to the event, including- Geraldine McLaughlin (Health & Wellbeing Officer), Gerry Madden, Darcy Brothers Scrap Metals, PSNI, NIFRS and Tyrone GAA.
