In a feisty encounter which saw 5 red cards and numerous yellow cards, Beragh prevailed on a scoreline of 2-4 to 1-4.

The Sarsfields got off to a good start when Gareth McGrath pointed following good work by Brendan McGrath and Patrick Roche. Beragh equalised from a free kick after 6 minutes before McGrath restored the Drumragh lead halfway through the first half with Beragh down to 14 men. Following a melee, three red cards were issued by referee Alan Richardson which left both sides with thirteen men. Beragh settled quicker and took the lead following a goal from a speculative kick into the Drumragh square. Eoghan rea reduced the deficit to the minimum score after 22 minutes. At the short whistle, the home side led on a scoreline of 1-1 to 0-3.

The Sarsfields got of to the worst possible start when, shortly after the resumption of play, Beragh goaled again. The Sarsfields struck back almost immediately with a fine team point from Barry Kirwan following good work from Ciaran Donaghey and Brendan McGrath. The introduction of James Broderick in the 37th minute paid immediate dividends when he goaled with his first touch of the ball to level the game. That was as good as it got for the away team as three further unanswered points left the final score Beragh 2-4, Drumragh 1 -4.
