Drumragh minor boys lost to Fintona in a league game at Clanabogan Park on Thursday.
Fintona went into an early lead but Drumragh got on the scoreboard with a free from Eoin Montgomery after Niall McCarney had been fouled. Eoin then added a good point from play as Drumragh settled in to the game.
The home side created a few goal chances too with Oran McElroy and Daniel O’Neill unlucky not to find the back of the net.
Fintona stretched out their lead with a point but Drumragh responded with a brilliant point from Stephen Coyle, who then scored an even better goal after being set up by Daniel O’Neill.
Drumragh had a further point from Oran McElroy but Fintona went in at half-time well in control.
Fintona went further ahead with a scoring burst at the start of the second half. Drumragh answered back with a fine goal from Niall McCarney who fielded a high ball in, before turning and firing the ball to the back of the net. That was followed up by a Daniel O’Neill goal.
But Fintona kept the pressure on right to the end and were impressive winners at the final whistle. Niall McCarney hit a couple of points for Drumragh before the end.
