Drumragh………………..2-7
Dromore………………..2-14
Drumragh senior ladies were beaten by neighbours Dromore in the league at Clanabogan on Monday evening.
A goal from Neamh Woods midway through the second half had brought Drumragh right back into the game but a strong finish from the visitors earned them a seven-point win.
Having won the ball from the throw-in Neamh Woods set Clodagh Loughran up for the opening point of the game after only a few seconds. Eva McCaul doubled the lead as Drumragh made a confident start.
Four points on the bounce though from Dromore put them in the lead but Drumragh responded with a goal from Kathryn Donaghey following a good pass in from Neamh Woods.
The teams exchanged points – Neamh Woods on target for Drumragh – but a goal for Dromore put them back in the lead and they added a further point before half-time.
Fouls on Clodagh Loughran and Emma Harkin at the start of the second half allowed Beth Donaghy to kick over a few frees but Dromore answered that with a good point of their own.
Neamh Woods got in for her goal but a run of 1-4 from Dromore decided the game in their favour. Grace O’Neill got Drumragh’s final score of the game with a good point from play.
