Drumragh minor boys lost to Owen Roes/Clann na Gael in the league on Thursday.
Ben Monk got the first score of the game for Drumragh but Owen Roes/Clann na Gael kicked the next couple of points to go ahead.
An excellent individual point from Cormac McCann brought the sides level before a run of 2-5 put Owen Roes/Clann na Gael firmly in control of the game.
Oran McElroy got in for a goal after a pass inside from Daniel O’Neill while Niall McCarney added a free that he had won himself.
Paul Devine made a couple of good saves in the Drumragh goal and Ben Monk showed good strength at the other end of the field to point.
Owen Roes/Clann na Gael finished the half well though and had a commanding lead at the break.
The away side scored a goal at the start of the second half but Drumragh answered that with a point from Stephen Coyle and a goal from Oran McElroy.
A foul on Eoin Coyle allowed Niall McCarney to kick over a free but Owen Roes/Clann na Gael hit back with a scoring burst of 1-3.
Cormac Dolan set Oran McElroy for a point while Aaron Lynch took a good mark from a Daniel O’Neill pass and kicked the free over the bar. Cahir McAnenly and Blaine Feeney set Daniel up for a score and Aaron converted a difficult free after Ryan McCrystal had been fouled.
Owen Roes/Clann na Gael concuded the scoring with a goal.
