Drumragh………………..0-11
Castlederg………………..0-8
Drumragh seniors have reached the championship semi-final after a three-point win over Castlederg at Newtownstewart on Saturday.
It’s the first time since 1999 that Drumragh have made it to the last four of the competition.
Drumragh got off a good start and had established a 0-5 to 0-2 lead after twelve minutes. Shane Cleary opened the scoring and Drumragh followed that up with good points from play from Shane Devine, Eamonn McCann and Tommy Mullin. Tommy also converted a free in the early stages.
The scores dried up for a while for Drumragh and it took a late point from Eamonn McCann to give them a one-point lead at half-time.
Castlederg were soon level with a free right at the start of the second half as Drumragh got off to a slow start to the second period.
Drumragh did eventually get a score in the second half through a free from Tommy Mullin and he soon added another placed ball. A great score from play from Cormac Norris gave Drumragh a bit of control.
Castlederg got it back to a one-point game but late scores from sub Malachy McManus and Martin Taggart sent Drumragh through to the semi-final against Drumquin.
