Drumragh U14 girls lost to neighbours Dromore in the league at Clanabogan on Saturday.

It was the visitors who were on the front foot early on and they opened the scoring with a good point. Drumragh dealt well with the pressure, however, with Fianna McGuigan, Fionnuala Clarke and Tammy Donnell prominent in the opening stages.

Rihanna Mullin drew Drumragh level with a free after a foul on Dana Coyle. Dana then did well to win a long ball in, her shot came off the post but Cora Walsh reacted quickest and was able to put Drumragh into the lead with a point.

Rihanna Mullin stretched out the lead with a goal but Dromore responded almost immediately with a goal of their own. But a second goal from Rihanna gave Drumragh the lead at half-time.

Dromore opened up the second half with a couple of points while Dana Coyle answered back for Drumragh.

But Dromore were able to establish a lead with a number of scores. Drumragh created a number of opportunities but were unlucky not to take them and weren’t able to get back into the game

Scorers: Rihanna Mullin 2-1, Dana Coyle 0-1, Cora Walsh 0-1
