Killyman…………0-6
Drumragh……..0-20
Drumragh senior men picked up another win away to Killyman on Saturday.
Kevin Marron set up Tommy Murphy for a go-ahead point in the first minute, a lead that Drumragh were never to lose.
Eoin Montgomery doubled Drumragh’s lead and while Killyman responded with a point, further scores from Eoin (free), Tommy Murphy (mark), Gareth McGrath and Ronan Maguire pushed the away side 0-6 to 0-1 ahead at the first half water break.
Drumragh had much of the play in the first half but the defence stood up well when needed with Eamonn Kerrigan, Benny Drumm and Mark Carroll prominent.
A good ball in from Ronan Maguire found Martin Taggart in a bit of space and he pointed while Tommy Murphy added a couple of frees after he was fouled on both occasions.
Malachy McManus and Cormac Norris were winning plenty of ball around midfield, and with that possession Kevin Marron, and Cormac himself were able to put the ball over the bar to give Drumragh a commanding lead at half-time.
Kevin Marron got the opening score of the second half following good play from Sean Diamond and Ronan Maguire, while Ronan added a point from play not long after.
Killyman kicked a good point but Drumragh kept the pressure on. Tommy Murphy set up Eoin Montgomery for a nice point, Gareth Haughey scored a brilliant score from distance and Kevin Marron converted a free after a foul on Martin Taggart.
The home side launched a couple of high balls into the square in search of a goal but these were dealt well with by goalkeeper James Colgan and full-back Lee Brown.
Drumragh reached the 20-point mark before the final whistle with scores from Cormac Norris, sub Paul Maguire and Kevin Marron.
