Drumragh senior ladies were knocked out of the championship by Glenelly in Newtownstewart on Friday evening.
The winners got off to a fast start and went three points ahead before Kathryn Donaghey got Drumragh on the scoreboard with a good point after Nicola Taggart and Caoimhe McCarron created the opportunity.
Glenelly answered back and soon scored their first goal. A foul on Kathryn Donaghey allowed Beth Donaghy to put over a free in reply for Drumragh.
However, Glenelly went on to score six points on the bounce to take control of the game. Nicola Taggart responded for Drumragh with a well-worked point. Glenelly got in for their second goal but Drumragh finished the half strongly and had further scores from Nicola and Rachel Cleary.
Grace O’Neill opened the scoring in the second half but Glenelly were able to stretch out their lead with a goal and a number of points.
Rachel Cleary kicked a free for Drumragh after Caoimhe McCarron was fouled while Grace O’Neill added a wonderful score from play.
Glenelly added to their total while Rachel Cleary and Beth Donaghy were on target for Drumragh. They also got in for a goal when Grace O’Neill gathered Beth’s pass inside, took the ball past a couple of defenders and fired to the back of the net.
But it was Glenelly who progressed to the next round.
