Drumragh scored goal number two when Caitlin McCarron applied the finish after Keira McGuigan and Roisin Gormley had been involved in the build-up. Eabha Coyle caught the kick-out that followed, drove through the home defence and fired to the top corner of the net for a brilliant goal, stretching out Drumragh’s lead.

Coalisland scored a point but Drurmagh responded well with Caitlin McCarron getting in for her second goal. Roisin Gormley added a great point from play after another swift counter-attack while Dana Coyle showed good determination to go past a couple of defenders and kick the ball over the bar.

The home side had chances but Drumragh defended superbly with Dearbhaille McLaughlin, Fionnuala Barrett and Anna Clarke exerting pressure on the Coalisland attackers. A brave block from full-back Niamh Colton also stopped a certain goal for Coalisland.

Coalisland were awarded a penalty as the clock ticked towards half-time. However, Drumragh goalkeeper Chloe McGale produced an incredible save to keep the ball out with Roise McDevitt completing the clearance.

That galvanised Drumragh and they ended the half strongly with Roisin Gormley adding a goal.
