Drumragh senior ladies impressed in a league win away to Galbally on Sunday evening.
Drumragh played really throughout the game, defending strongly and getting some great scores in the 60 minutes.
Rihanna Mullin opened the scoring with a goal and she quickly added a point, as did Beth Donaghy. Rihanna scored goal number two not long after, Sorcha McKenna and Aine McManus had combined to create the chance.
Drumragh gave very little away in the defence with Iona Mills, Shannon Starrs and Evie Gallagher keeping the Galbally forward line out in the first half. Mia Gallagher also made a fantastic catch on the goal line, preventing a goal for the home side.
Coblaith McKenna, Joanne Barrett and Julieanne Quinn gave Drumragh a strong platform around midfield. And from that, Beth Donaghy stretched out Drumragh’s lead with a quick 1-3, while Sorcha McKenna’s smart pass allowed Aine McManus to send the ball over the bar.
Sorcha McKenna and Beth Donaghy scored goals before half-time while Beth added a few points, to which Galbally responded with a point.

There was no let-up from Drumragh in the second half. Beth Donaghy converted a free with Sorcha McKenna also on target.
Aine McManus, Beth Donaghy and Caoimhe McCarron hit further goals, with all three players on target with points as well.
Drumragh introduced a number of subs and they made a positive impact as they continued to play well as the game headed towards full-time.
A good kickout from Laura-Jayne Donnelly found Coblaith McKenna in space, who carried the ball upfield, before sending Beth Donaghy through on goal and Beth finished to the back of the net.
A goal from Caoimhe McCarron and points from Caoimhe and Beth Donaghy concluded a brilliant win for Drumragh.
