Brocagh……….0-7 | Drumragh……….1-7
A strong second-half performance saw Drumragh senior men beat Brocagh away on Friday evening.
Drumragh trailed by two points at half-time with Kian Murphy (from a 45), Daniel O’Neill and Malachy McManus all on target during the opening 30 minutes.
The sides swapped scores at the start of the second half, with Malachy McManus kicking a good point for Drumragh after a quick bit of thinking from Kian Murphy.
And then a key moment of the game. Brocagh were awarded a penalty, but Drumragh goalkeeper James Colgan produced a fantastic save to keep it a one-score game. From there, the ball was moved upfield at pace, with Alex McGlinchey sending the ball over the bar.
Drumragh then went in front with Martin Taggart supplying the finish after a well-worked team move involving Paddy Colgan, Ben Monk and Gareth McGrath. Tommy Murphy then added a couple of points from play to stretch out the lead.
Brocagh applied late pressure, but the Drumragh defence held firm to secure an excellent win.
