Drumragh……….5-18 | Brackaville……….1-6

Drumragh senior men produced a brilliant team performance to beat Brackaville in the league at Clanabogan on Sunday afternoon.

Despite conceding a goal in the opening minute, Drumragh built up a good lead at half-time.

Points from Niall McCarney, Ronan Maguire and Tommy Murphy cancelled out that early goal. And Drumragh soon had their first lead. Malachy McManus won the ball back high up the field, and set up Andy Colgan, who applied a confident finish over the bar.

A goal from Shane Devine put Drumragh in control, with Tommy Murphy (from a 45) and Malachy McManus increasing the lead with points.

Goal number two arrived via Malachy McManus, and three further scores from Tommy Murphy gave Drumragh a commanding lead at the break.

Gareth McGrath added a point, while Shane Devine’s precise pass allowed Tommy Murphy to palm the ball to the back of the net.

Niall McCarney soon after scored Drumragh’s fourth goal, finishing well past the goalkeeper, and quickly tagged on a point.

Alex McGlinchey (2), Oran Devlin and Tommy Murphy all sent over points before the end of the game, and Oran scored Drumragh’s last goal of the game to complete an impressive display and win.
