Relaunch of Club Drumragh

Club Drumragh is the fundraising arm of Drumragh Sarsfields, and it is being relaunched in July in conjunction with the launch of Drumragh’s Development Plan 2024-2034.

Drumragh Sarsfields was founded in 1972 and since then has grown from strength to strenght. From humble beginnings and a base in St Patrick’s Park, we now have a forever home in Clanabogan Park with over 550 members, 0f which half are youth.

With your support, the unwavering generosity of our sponsors, and the tireless work of our volunteers, we have built a pitch, a clubhouse, floodlit training pitch, stand, walkway and car parking. In recent years our teams have flourished, with success at both underage and adult level, including representation on various panels at county level.

However, the welcome increased use and enjoyment of our facilities, by all age groups and gernerations, has out additional demand on our current infrastructure.

Since 2022, consultation with players, parents and coaches has helped identify areas of development that will give future generations the best foundations for success.

This will be our most ambitious development to date spanning over 10 years, allowing us to even better serve our club and community in the future. This will include:

  • Full-size floodlit pitch
  • Redeveloped main pitch
  • High performance state-of-the-art gym
  • New community hall
  • Ball wall and multi-use 3G area
  • Gaelic Start pitch

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
All of this comes at a price of £1.3 million, which is where we need your support.

We are asking for a minimum donation of £20 per month to help ensure the provision of top-class facilities and financial security for the current and future generations of Drumragh. Additionally, we will continue to run our various fundraising events and attract new sponsors.

All Club Drumragh money will be ring-fenced for capital development. This means that any money donated through this pathway will be used solely on the Development Plan and will not be used to routine club running costs.

We would like to acknowledge and thank existing Club Drumragh members, who have contributed approximately £200,000 towards development at Clanabogan Park since 2008.

By becoming a member of Club Drumragh, you will be playing a significant and active role in building for future generations, helping ensure all members have a space where they can grow and develop to be the best player and person that they can be.

  • Any member who would like to sign up to Club Drumragh can contact club secretary Donna Walsh (07749 545100) or club treasurer Joe Mulrine (07709 846459). Go raibh míle maith agait.
