Drumragh minor girls moved onto the championship semi-final with an impressive performance against Tattyreagh on Tuesday evening at Clanabogan.
It was Tattyreagh who drew first blood in this parish derby with a point, however, Rihanna Mullin and Rhianna Barrett countered for Drumragh, Rihanna scoring 1-2, and Rhianna 0-1.
The first half was tit-for-tat, with the score being 1-4 each, before Drumragh scored the last four points of the half. The four scores coming from Dana Coyle, Genevieve Norris, Grace McCusker and a free from Genevieve.
The first half really was a tense affair, with end-to-end attacks. Katie McCann was solid in the Drumragh goal, with Mia Feeney, Cara Kerlin, Lily O’Kane, Grace McCusker, Fionnuala Clarke and Oonagh Pancott thwarting the Tattyreagh attack.

Whilst Tattyreagh came out strong in the opening few minutes of the second half, Drumragh gradually took control at midfield via Caitlin McCarron and Mairead Corrigan. Third-quarter scores from Dana Coyle, Genevieve Norris, and Rhianna Barrett created some distance between the sides.
There were further goals from Genevieve Norris, Caoimhe McCarron, Roisin Gormley and Aine O’Donnell which eased the path in the last 10 minutes to get over the line.
During the second half, the constant pressing of Caoimhe McCarron and Emma McCloskey was a thorn in the Tattyreagh defence. Substitutes were introduced and also made their mark in this satisfying quarter-final Drumragh victory.
The game was well-refereed by Odhran Gallen from Aghyaran. The semi-final against Aghyaran takes place on Friday evening at Clanabogan Park.
