DRUMRAGH……….2-15 | AGHALOO……….1-5
Drumragh senior ladies are through to the championship semi-final. A win over Aghaloo in Galbally on Sunday has set up a last-four meeting with Clann na nGael.
It was an excellent team performance from Drumragh. Rihanna Mullin had a confident game in goal, and the full-back line of Julie-Anne Quinn, Mia Gallagher and Grace McCusker battled well throughout the game, making the Aghaloo forward line work hard for every score they got. Evie Gallagher, Joanne Barrett and Caitlin McCarron in the half-back line got forward well to support the attack, while midfielders Neamh Cleary and Coblaith McKenna gave Drumragh a foothold in the game, winning plenty of possession around the middle of the field.
Beth Donaghy scored Drumragh’s two goals, and added a number of points as well. Grace O’Neill, Shannon Starrs and Dana Coyle created plenty of scoring chances, with Aine McManus, Caoimhe McCarron and Neamh Cleary kicking some excellent points during the game.
A good display from Drumragh, and a fantastic result.
