Drumragh U14 boys lose out to Drumquin

Drumragh fell to defeat this morning following a late smash and grab by Drumquin. Drumragh started the brighter team again, forcing a number of turnovers in the Drumquin half following good work from Mark Walsh, Eoin Clarke & James Green. The forwards kept the scoreboard ticking over with scores from Eamon Barrett, Aaron O’Doherty, and Lorcan Starrs. Drumragh ended a tight half with a slender advantage. Drumragh kept the pressure on in the 2nd half, an excellent Eoghan Campbell goal followed by a long-range strike from Cayal Cafferky meant we held a 4 point lead with 7 minutes remaining. Drumquin never gave up, however, and 3 quick-fire goals gave them victory, Drumragh left to run a number of missed opportunities to see the game out.

MOTMs – Lorcan McDevitt for his accurate and efficient link up play in the half forward line and Ronan Barton for his tireless display in defence
