Well done to Ronan McManus (recitation) and the ballad group who made it through to the Tyrone Scor na nOg final at the weekend and hard luck to those who did not make it through.
The final takes place on Sunday in Killeshil at 3pm. The Drumragh ‘Astro Gaelic’ programme continues on Saturday at Omagh Leisure Centre from 11am to 12noon. This is open to U8 and U10 age groups. The cost per child is £2. The Gaelic Start winter programme also runs on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.30am at the clubrooms. Existing members and anyone with children in P1, P2 or P3, boys or girls, are welcome. Parents are invited to come along and have some fun with the children. Cost is £1 per child.
Well done to the U10 player of the week Liam Sweeney. Can everyone still involved in Last Man Standing get this week’s selection in to their promoter by tomorrow (Friday) evening. Club ties are to be returned to Eamonn McCann (07909685736). The AGM will be held on Tuesday December 13 at the clubrooms. Nomination forms are on the website. The ladies AGM is on Wednesday at the clubrooms at 8.30pm. All invoices and outstanding debts should be forwarded to the treasurer by this weekend for inclusion in this year’s accounts. This week’s winning Club Drumragh lotto letters were AC D G O. There was no jackpot winner but the five £10 winners were Marie Campbell, Mary Prunty, Terry Loughran, Ann McFarland and Pauric Donnelly. Next week’s jackpot will be £3,450 and the draw will be in The Weigh Inn.
LADIES NOTES
Congratulations to all our Scor na nOg competitors who participated last weekend. Best of luck to Ronan McManus in the recitation category, our ballad group of Kathern, Ellen, Clare, Orlagh and Ciaran and their mentors in the county final which takes place on Sunday in Killeshil at 3pm. Our ladies AGM is to be held on Wednesday at 8.30pm at the clubrooms. It is very important that all adult club members, players and mentors attend. Zumba class continues at 7.30pm tonight (Thursday) in Clanabogan Hall.
There will be a CRY Screening clinic at the University of Ulster’s Jordanstown campus on Saturday and Sunday. Please note there is no charge for people getting screened. Screening is open to those between 14 and 35 years of age. A CRY cardiologist is in attendance to read the ECG and Echocardiogram, if an Echo is required.
If any further medical referral is needed, the cardiologist is on hand to offer expert advice. CRY encourages everyone to get screened particularly those involved in sport.
