Drumragh………………..1-11
Killyman……………………1-6

Drumragh reserves beat Killyman in the league at Clanabogan on Friday.

Having led by nine points at half-time, they made hard work of the second half and let Killyman back into the game. But late points from Gareth Starrs, Oisin McCullagh and Paddy Roche made sure of the win.

Paddy Roche opened the scoring with a free following a foul on Andrew Colgan and Gareth Starrs then got Drumragh’s goal with a good finish having been set up by Paddy and Andrew.

Paddy Roche added a good score from play before Killyman got on the board with a free.

The Drumragh defence started the game really well with Oran Donaghy prominent in the early stages stopping a number of Killyman attacks.

Paddy Roche converted a free that he himself had won, Oisin McCullagh hit a great point from play and James Broderick scored from distance from a move that was started by John McCaul in the full-back line.

Further points from Paul Maguire and Gareth Starrs put Drumragh in a commanding position at half-time.

Adrian Colton played the entire game as Drumragh reserves beat Killyman on Friday

It was a slow start for Drumragh at the start of the second half and Killyman battled back to trail by only four points. It took a good save from Drumragh goalkeeper Paul Devine to stop it from being an even closer game.

But Drumragh finished the game strong. Gareth Starrs got the home side’s first score of the half and he soon after kicked a free when Paddy Roche had been fouled.

Good play from Stephen Coyle set Oisin McCullagh up for a point and Paddy Roche also scored as Drumragh ran out five-point winners.
