Stephen Coyle scored two points for Drumragh minor boys against Dromore

Drumragh minor boys were knocked out of the championship by Dromore on Tuesday evening.

The game got off to an even start with a trio of Eoin Montgomery points giving Drumragh an early lead. He knocked over a 45 to begin with and then took a great mark over the heads of a few Dromore defenders and converted it. A fantastic point from play followed after a patient Drumragh build-up involving Niall McCarney, Conor Kelly and Kian Murphy.

The Dromore goalkeeper made a good save from Adam Brophy as Drumragh made a confident start to the game.

However it was Dromore who got in for a goal and they stretched out their lead to seven points by half-time. Both goalkeepers made good saves towards the end of the half.

Cormac McCann played for Drumragh minor boys against Dromore

A foul on Conor Kelly allowed Eoin Montgomery to kick over a long-range free at the start of the second half and Niall McCarney hit an excellent point from play after good work form Alex McGlinchey and Stephen Coyle.

Eoin Montgomery and Stephen Coyle (2) hit nice points from play for Drumragh but Dromore scored three more goals in the second half to take their place in the next round.
